Or Trevor Wishart's "Anticredos" (Singcircle, 1982).

To just mention some....

The very opening of the Grosse Fuge is a nice jump with the potential of describing some intestinal noises, by the way.

Even Beethoven cautioned against too overtly programmatic music....
Time for a new topic, JB.

Back to Schindler, then : can anyone post a photo of this miserable person?

As soon as I have got my scanner working properly again I will post it. It's a sour face, and I have to suppress putting "wanted, dead or alive" around the Swindler's head.

Talling about "Wanted, Dead or Alive", how about a photo of your good self, JB? Is there a camera (or scanner) able to withstand such a challenge?

The scanner will survive, but your screen won't I'm afraid.

Likewise for me. Even given my IT incompetence at posting photos, score images etc, the aura around my head and blinding light emanating from my eyes defies any attempt at photographic representation.

Long time! Glad to be back!

Schindler was long, thin, and UGLY. I can't imagine seeing LvB walking down a roadway with the Swindler. It would have been a comical sight.

Just imagine! What a thought! Oh stop!

It`s a shame that many conversational books had been "changed" for the evikl hand of Schidler, I think he was taking advantage of the MAESTRO.
Nasty rat!thumbs down

I'm afraid it is not that simple. Although he made fake entrances in the booklets, without Schindler we most likely wouldn't posses this amount of Conversation booklets, given the fact that the sketches and musical manuscripts were considered of much more importance and that these have been scattered all over the world, and in the process up to 50% has gone lost or is untraceable.
there are evidently no great gaps in the series of the converstaion booklets. And that IS Schindler's merit.

Just imagine going to a garage/boot sale and having the great fortune to come across a LvB manuscript. smiling bouncing smiley What would you do first?

I think I would clutch it, hold it close, even smell the scent from the leather binding; sit with some vino, listening to his music. Wow! Then after a day or two quickly get in touch with an expert in the field of LvB (not any historian). Who would one contact? Perhaps I should not be too hasty! One must take it slowly. Ja!

Enjoy the moment! Ja!drinking smiley
